Managing Your 100Pay Cards

100Pay offers three types of cards to cover all your spending needs—whether you're buying groceries in Lagos or paying for a SaaS tool in USD.

Card types

| Card type | Network | Currency | Use case | |---|---|---|---| | Local Card | Verve / Afrigo / Mastercard | NGN | Domestic POS, ATM, online (Nigeria) | | Global Card | VISA | Crypto & fiat | International online & in-store payments | | Prepaid Card | VISA | Crypto & fiat | Controlled spending with pre-loaded balance |

Local Cards (Verve)

Local cards are linked to your 100Pay NGN balance.

Ordering a local card

  1. Go to Cards → Local Cards → Order a Card.
  2. Choose physical (for POS/ATM use) or virtual (for online payments).
  3. If physical: enter your delivery address and pay the card ordering fee.
  4. Your card will be processed and issued.

Activating your card

  • Physical: Once delivered, go to Cards → Local Cards, find the card, and click Activate.
  • Virtual: Activated automatically upon issuance.

Changing your card PIN

  1. Go to Cards → Local Cards.
  2. Click the Settings button (⚙️) on the top-right of the card tile.
  3. Select Change PIN.
  4. Follow the prompts to set a new 4-digit PIN.

Credit Mode

Credit Mode lets your local card act like a credit card, drawing from an approved credit line instead of (or in addition to) your NGN balance.

To enable:

  1. Go to Cards → Local Cards → Card Settings.
  2. Toggle Credit Mode to ON.

Transactions in Credit Mode appear under the credit filter in your card statement.

Global Cards (VISA)

Global cards are backed by your crypto and fiat holdings on 100Pay, accepted worldwide wherever VISA is supported.

Ordering a global card

  1. Go to Cards → Global Cards.
  2. Click Order Card.
  3. Choose your funding asset and confirm the issuance fee.

Funding your global card

Funds are drawn from your 100Pay portfolio assets at the real-time exchange rate at the time of each transaction.

Prepaid Cards

Prepaid cards are loaded upfront with a fixed amount—ideal for budgeting, team expenses, or one-off purchases.

  1. Go to Cards → Prepaid Cards → Get Prepaid Card.
  2. Choose a currency and load amount.
  3. Your card balance is fixed to the loaded amount; it cannot go negative.

Card statement

View all card transactions under:

Cards → [Card type] → Transactions

Filter by:

  • All – every transaction
  • Credit – credit mode charges
  • Debit – direct balance deductions

Each entry shows the merchant name, amount, date, and status.
